Who will reign with Christ in the Millennium?

Scripture teaches that those who did not betray Christ by taking the mark of the beast will be raised in the first resurrection to reign with Him. Revelation 20:4 says, "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." These are called priests of God and of Christ, blessed and holy, and the second death has no power over them.

This reign is confirmed in Revelation 5:9-10, where the redeemed sing, "Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." This shows plainly that the reign is not only a heavenly position but one carried out on the earth itself, alongside Christ.

This rulership is described as one of righteousness and care for the people. The sons of God who reign with Christ will judge with righteousness, do justice for the poor, ensure peace, provide for the needy, and see that no one is oppressed, as reflected in Psalm 72:1-5. They have already inherited eternal life even while ruling over a world where death still occurs among mankind.

So the answer is clear: it is the redeemed saints, those faithful through tribulation who refused the mark of the beast and were raised in the first resurrection, who will reign with Christ as kings and priests during the thousand years on the earth.
